SYHA's primary goal is player development. Every practice, from beginner to advanced levels, is designed to help players improve their skills and hockey IQ. We follow the American Development Model (ADM) set by USA Hockey, ensuring that our younger players receive the training and guidance they need to succeed both on and off the ice.

Our goal is to help every player reach their full potential, offering opportunities for growth, skill development, and team building. We prioritize sportsmanship, integrity, and respect for all individuals in everything we do.

We offer a variety of programs to suit players of all ages and skill levels. Starting with the Jr. Ranger's Learn to Play program, we provide a strong foundation for beginners. As players progress, we offer both in-house and travel programs. Our travel programs include the Mustangs (co-ed) program and our expanding Fillies (girls) program, allowing players to continue developing their skills in a competitive environment.

SYHA conducts its programs at the Kiwanis Ice Arena in Saugerties, NY. With a large seating capacity and four changing rooms, the arena provides a welcoming and convenient location for our players and families. The facility also features a great snack bar with reasonable prices, a pro shop, and skate sharpening services, making it easy for players and spectators to stay fueled and prepared during their time at the rink.

Through a partnership with the Town of Saugerties' Parks and Recreation Department, SYHA is the primary tenant at the Kiwanis Ice Arena. We manage both practice and game schedules, offering a more structured and predictable experience with regular practice times and a clear schedule for our players and families.
